NAF officially launched its first large-scale breast cancer awareness and screening campaign in 2023. The event was presided over by the Kajiado County First Lady, Edna Lenku, who encouraged women to embrace early screening and break cultural barriers that hinder health-seeking behavior, especially among Maasai women.

Senior county officials—including Dr. Lydia (CEO, Kajiado County Referral Hospital), Family Bank representatives, and the Office of Gender, Culture & Youth—attended and pledged ongoing support.

The First Lady urged NAF to hold more campaigns each year due to the low awareness rate of approximately 3% in Kajiado.
